Ethiopian Rivers Overflow; 20 Drown
Two rivers in the eastern Ogaden region overflowed their banks following heavy rains, drowning 20 people.
About 1,300 goats, sheep and cattle also drowned when the Webi Shebelle and Wedeb rivers overflowed, the Ethiopian Herald newspaper reported Sunday.
Hundreds of people were stranded and needed emergency deliveries of food and medicine, officials were quoted as saying.
