Greenwood Signs With UI

North Idaho College forward/center Michelle Greenwood has signed to play basketball at the University of Idaho.

Greenwood, a 6-foot sophomore from Spokane’s North Central High, will probably play power forward at Idaho.

“I liked the fact she can get up and down the floor,” Vandals coach Julie Holt said. “I liked the fact that, offensively, she knows how to score. She gives us some flexibility.”

Greenwood joins previously signed UI recruits Jennifer Stone (6-2, Highland High; Craigmont, Idaho), Sarah Blakley (5-10 Capital High, Boise) and Lara Chaney (6-7, DeAnza High; Richmond, Calif.).

Greenwood averaged 11.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Ajene Robertson, a 6-4 guard/ small forward at Mt. Hood Community College (Gresham, Ore.) last year, has decided to transfer to the North Idaho College men’s basketball team.

Robertson is from Seattle’s Garfield High.
