Lilac Festival Variety Show At Met Thursday

The Spokane Lilac Festival’s 1995 Variety Show takes place on Thursday at 7 p.m. at The Met.

About 20 acts, many from local junior and senior high schools, will perform, said Debbie Bever, one of the show’s organizers.

There will be a number of singers on the program, including 10-year-old Colton Michael Carothers, who will sing “New York, New York.”

In addition, there will be several adult acts, including the Occasional String Band, and the Spokane Falls Chorus, a 48-voice Sweet Adelines group.

The show will also include tap, ballet and can-can dancers, pianists and saxophone players.

Spokane TV personality Bob Briley will be the master of ceremonies.

Tickets are $7.50, $5 for seniors, $3.50 for children, and are available at all G&B Select-a-Seat outlets or by calling 325-SEAT or (800) 325-SEAT.
