Post Falls Agency Wins Tourism Award

Post Falls Post Falls Tourism Inc. won Gov. Phil Batt’s Outstanding Achievement in Tourism Organization award for 1994.

Executive Director Nancy DiGiammarco said the organization was thrilled to win the award. Batt and his staff cited an increase in vacation package requests from 325 when the agency opened in 1992 to more than 10,000 a year now.

Further helping Post Falls’ tourism clout was the naming last week of Bob Templin of Templin’s Resort to the Idaho Travel Council, DiGiammarco said. The council controls more than $300,000 of grant money for marketing campaigns to be split among the different regions of the state.

Templin was also appointed to be a representative to the first White House Conference on Recreation and Tourism in October.
