3 Arrested In Plot To Tunnel Into Vault

Police said Friday they had arrested suspects accused of building a 68-foot-long tunnel in a plot to steal $3 million from a bank vault in Arecibo.

The robbery was to occur this weekend.

The three-foot-wide tunnel began in an adjacent building that the suspects had rented on the pretext of starting up a video rental business, police said.
