Boy Injured When He Runs Onto Highway, Hit By Car

A 14-year-old boy was injured when he ran onto a state highway and was hit by a car north of Spokane on Friday night.

James W. Pullin of Spokane suffered a broken right leg and shoulder and cuts to his face and head when he ran into the northbound lane of U.S. Highway 395 near Regina about 9:48 p.m.

Pullin was in satisfactory condition at Holy Family Hospital on Saturday.

The driver, David R. Pence, 20, of Spokane, was not injured, said Washington State Patrol Sgt. Jeff Sale.
