Three More Arrested In Connection With Man’s Death

From Staff And Wire Reports

Three more people have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and killing of a man whose body was found near Eloika Lake earlier this month.

The body of Richard P. Morley, 30, was found near the Pend Oreille County lake on May 5.

Carla R. Lenocker, 22, was arrested on one count of first-degree criminal assistance.

James E. Lawrence, 28, was arrested on one count of second-degree assault and one count of unlawful imprisonment.

Roman G. Moe, 20, was arrested on a count of failing to report a violent crime.

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies arrested Lenocker and Moe at a residence in the 12000 block of East Fourth. A Spokane police officer arrested Lawrence, who was driving a car Tuesday night at Howard and Francis.

Police still are seeking Debra Monroe, 33, of Spokane, in connection with the case.

Three others had previously been arrested, including a man and woman who confessed to the kidnapping and killing.

A dispute apparently arose over a debt Morley owed to one of the suspects, according to court documents.
