Nic Seniors Graduate Today

More than 300 students are expected to pick up their diplomas today at North Idaho College’s commencement ceremonies in Boswell Hall.

Richard “Duke” Snyder, who has taught anthropology at NIC since 1972, will deliver the commencement address. Snyder is retiring this year.

The program also will feature a speech by outgoing student body president Ryan Higgins and the presentation of the NIC Foundation Faculty Achievement Award by the college president.

Graduation begins at 10 a.m. Because seating is limited, tickets are required for admission. Graduates and their guests should plan for extra travel time because of construction at Northwest Boulevard and Government Way.

Those who cannot attend the ceremony can watch it on Cablevision Channel 13 at 4 p.m. Friday and Sunday.
