Another Arrest In Child-Sex Ring

From Staff And Wire Reports

Another member of an East Wenatchee church that is the center of a child-sex investigation has been arrested for investigation of child rape.

Honna Sims, 30, known as Sister Honna to church members, was arrested by Douglas County sheriff’s detectives Monday. She was booked into Chelan County Regional Jail for investigation of two counts of second-degree rape of a child.

Sims, a grocery store baker, is the 11th person affiliated with the Pentecostal House of Prayer Church accused of having group sex with children. At least three have made statements to police admitting they witnessed or participated in group sex with children at the church, The Wenatchee World reported.

Douglas County Undersheriff Dave Wallace said Sims’ arrest was based on statements made to a crime victims coordinator by a teenage girl. The girl claimed the rapes occurred between November 1993 and June 1994 at the church.

Sims has criticized the arrests of Pastor Roby Roberson and other church members in the widening child sexual abuse investigation.
