Led by Erica Moeller, Ritzville repeated as WIAA/U.S. Bank State A-B girls golf champion Tuesday at SunTides Golf Course.
Moeller had a 187 (90-97), ninth place behind winner Krissy Rojecki of Vashon, as the Broncos had 135 points. Bridgeport-Pateros was second with 64.
Rojecki, a sophomore, had a 75-83-158 on the par70 course for a seven-shot win over defending champion Trisha Einspahr of Columbia-Burbank.
Heather Almond of Newport was the top Northeast District finisher, fifth at 175 (88-87).
In the boys event at Apple Tree Golf Course, Ritzville was third with 55 points behind Cascade’s winning 119. Chewelah was fourth with 40.
Mike O’Leary of Lakeside was third with a 7-over 144. Ryan Whitaker, a Cle Elum sophomore and the only varsity golfer at his school, overcame a three-shot deficit in the final six holes to win with a 4-over 148.
