Ruse Catches Up With Rape Suspect

Compiled From Wire Services

A businessman has been charged with rape after police said he called women, impersonated their boyfriends and talked them into unlocking their doors and waiting for him with only a blindfold on.

Raymond Mitchell III was so smooth that the ruse occasionally worked, police say. He was charged Tuesday with three counts of rape and one of criminal attempted rape, police say.

Police said Mitchell, 45, claimed he was just fulfilling the women’s fantasies and the sex was consensual. Police dubbed him “Fantasy Man.”
