Two-Bit Justice Hits State Bars

Associated Press

Three Judge Lance Itos win $300. Three bloody gloves, $200. Three white Ford Broncos, $100. Three knives, $10. Three gavels, $1.

A Kato Kaelin or a gym bag sticking out of a trash can is a sure loser.

It’s the O.J. Simpson pulltab game, titled “Here Comes the Judge,” a hot seller at bars, taverns and bowling alleys around Washington state.

The pulltabs, a common gambling device in Washington state, sell for 50 cents each. The buyer pulls off a paper tab to reveal three icons. When all three icons match, the card is a winner.

The game was created by Ace Novelty in Bellevue and has been out about three weeks.

A spokesman was unable to say how many of the pulltabs had been made and shipped.

Lois Loontjens of the King County Domestic Violence Coalition said the game trivializes the issue of domestic violence, but Wilkinson said he knew of no complaints to the manufacturer.
