New Jeans Give You A Lift

Sick of exercise, but still seeking buns of steel? A new butt-boosting pair of jeans promises to make your derriere look delightful without one sweaty minute of aerobics.

The $40 MiracleBoost jeans for women were unveiled Thursday in New York, with the inventors hoping to do for the backside what the cleavage-enhancing Wonderbra did for breasts.

“This is the answer to many women’s dreams,” said Michelyn Camen, executive vice president of Sun Apparel Inc. Why? Simply by pulling on the MiracleBoost, your behind will become “rounder, better,” she promised.

A special design, combined with a Spandex material, lifts the bottom up an inch. To the touch, the jeans still feel like an ordinary pair of pants.

Sun Apparel expects more than $20 million in sales in the first year after the jeans go on the market in July.
