Sasquatch Loses First

The Community Colleges of Spokane gave up four unearned runs as the Sasquatch fell to Bellevue 5-2 in their opener at the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges baseball championships Thursday.

Pat Fisher hit a solo home run to give Spokane a 1-0 lead in the second inning but Bellevue (29-8) scored single runs in the fifth and seventh innings and then three more in eighth on an RBI single by Scott Hardy and a two-run single by Nick De La Cruz.

Spokane committed four errors.

The Sasquatch (24-13) play at 10 a.m. today in the doubleelimination tournament.
