8 Dead, 24 Injured In Prague Hotel Fire

Fire swept through the upper floors of one of Prague’s largest hotels Friday, killing at least eight people and injuring 26, police said.

The fire broke out in a janitor’s room on the 11th floor of the 18-story Olympik Hotel and quickly spread down to the seventh floor, said police spokesman Stanislav Cech. The cause was unknown.
