Sat., May 27, 1995

The White House confirmed Friday that President Clinton will stay in Billings overnight next week and hold a town meeting to talk with Montanans.

Joshua Silverman of the White House press office said Clinton will travel to Billings after giving the commencement address at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on Wednesday.

He will spend Wednesday night at a Billings hotel. Thursday evening he will conduct a town meeting.

But, said Silverman, “that is all I have to confirm.” The president’s activities during the day Thursday were not announced.

Gus Koernig, KTVQ-2 news anchor, said the station received a call from the White House Thursday asking if the station would like to host a town meeting with the president on June 1.
