Madge McQueen

Vancouver, Wash.

Graveside service for Madge M. McQueen, 91, is planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home in Vancouver is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McQueen, a former Spokane resident, died Thursday.

She was born in Fairmont, W.Va., and had lived in Spokane for 25 years before moving to Vancouver 10 years ago.

Mrs. McQueen had worked as a clothing sales clerk while in Spokane.

Her husband, James McQueen, died in 1982.

She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Hickman of Orting, Wash.; one granddaughter, one grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Irene Robinson

Pinehurst, Idaho

Memorial service for Irene G. Robinson, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Robinson who was born in Cherryvale, Kan., died Thursday.

She moved to Pinehurst from Kansas in 1947. She and her husband owned the Knit and Purl Yarn and Craft Shop in Pinehurst.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth; five sons, Ronald Robinson of Rose Lake, Idaho, Bob Robinson of Seattle, Jerry Robinson of Coeur d’Alene, Frank Robinson of Pinehurst and Jerry Robinson of Chicago; two daughters, Sharon Huber of Cataldo and Shirley Brandt of Pinehurst; one sister, Edna Sellers of Kansas; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Bela ‘Bill’ Toth

Spokane

Memorial service for Bela “Bill” Toth, 89, was held Thursday at the Masonic Temple.

A former Spokane teacher, Mr. Toth died May 18.

He was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States in 1907.

He taught in Priest River, Idaho and was superintendent of schools in Springdale, Wash., and Rose Lake, Idaho. He also taught at Havermale Junior High and Rogers High School in Spokane before retiring in 1969.

Mr. Toth was a certified flight instructor and was an officer in the Civil Air Patrol.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the El Katif Shrine.

His wife, Amy Toth, died in 1981.

He is survived by two nephews and several cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.

John Klyzek

Spokane

Service for John R. Klyzek, 85, is set for 11 a.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Saltese Cemetery in Greenacres.

Mr. Klyzek, who was born in Chicago Heights, Ill., died Thursday.

He had worked for RCA Whirlpool Inc. for 31 years and moved to Spokane when he retired in 1970.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Genevieve Klyzek; three sons, Charles and David Klyzek, both of Portland, and John Klyzek of Seattle; and one grandson.

Claudia Martin

St. Helens, Ore.

At her request, no funeral service will be held for Claudia P. Martin, 78. Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Martin, a former longtime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.

She was born in North Powder, Ore.

A homemaker, she had lived in St. Helens for the last 28 years.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Coeur d’Alene.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gerald Martin; one son, William Garden of Auburn, Wash.; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Mildred Walter

Fairfield

Memorial service for Mildred Walter, 73, will be held at a later date. Kramer Funeral Home in Tekoa, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walter, who died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Center in Fairfield, was born in Hamlin, Texas.

She moved to Washington 20 years ago and had lived in Moses Lake for many years. She owned and managed an apartment house there.

She retired in the late 1980s and moved to Tekoa. She had lived in Fairfield for the past two years.

Her first husband, Dale Walters, died in the 1950s.

Survivors include one son, Acie Walters of Fresno, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Ogle and Martha Holt, both of Moses Lake; one sister, Adrene Curry of Farmington, Wash.; and several grandchildren.
