Husband-Wife Team Have History Of Welfare Fraud

(From For the Record, Saturday, June 3, 1995:) Stanley Stoddard, Jr., and Annette Stoddard have not been convicted of welfare fraud. A Sunday headline indicated otherwise.

A husband and wife team are wanted by Secret Witness this week for welfare fraud.

Stanley Stoddard, Jr., and Annette Stoddard each have felony warrants for their arrest.

Stanley Stoddard has 13 convictions, including criminal trespassing, hit and run and burglary. He is 26 years old, white, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 163 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Annette Stoddard has one conviction for writing bad checks. She is 29 years old, white, about 5 foot 4 inches tall and 175 pounds.

Residents with information on the couple’s whereabouts are asked to call Secret Witness at 327-5111. A cash reward is offered and callers do not have to give their name.

Secret Witness is a civilian organization not affiliated with law enforcement. Callers may use code names or numbers to identify themselves.
