Female Coach Disciplined

Michigan’s women’s basketball coach was disciplined last season after a group of players’ parents complained she was abusing the athletes.

Athletic director Joe Roberson revealed in a deposition this month that coach Trish Roberts was reprimanded and placed on probation last season.

The Detroit News reported that seven former players said they were forced off the team by Roberts. Five of them said Roberts unduly pressured them as they tried to recuperate from injuries.
