Victim Of Shooting Still Not Identified

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane Police on Sunday still didn’t know the identity of a man found shot to death the night before in East Central.

An autopsy will be done Tuesday, and fingerprints will be taken to determine the man’s identity, police said.

The man - a black male in his 40s - was found just before 11 p.m. Saturday lying next to a car near 1511 E. Second. Neighbors told police they heard two gunshots.

The man was shot in the chest, police said. They weren’t sure how many times he’d been shot or what type of gun was used.

No suspects are in custody and no charges have been filed, police said.
