Heart Follies Takes The Stage

Joe Ehrbar Correspondent

Sacred Heart Medical Center will be throwing the musical fund-raiser Heart Follies at the Opera House on Saturday.

The extravaganza - “And The Beat Goes On” - features performances from Sacred Heart employees and their families of 30 well-known songs from the ‘50s to the present.

Set in a Broadway atmosphere, “And The Beat Goes On” will be packed with music, dancing and comedy.

Jaime Donegan, a veteran director of theatrical shows, will be at the helm during Heart Follies.

Over the years, Donegan has helped raise more than $10 million for numerous charities.

Proceeds from this year’s Heart Follies, which was last held three years ago, will benefit the Sister Peter Claver Endowment Fund, which supports services for the elderly and disadvantaged at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Showtimes are at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available through G&B Select-a-Seat outlets and by calling 325-SEAT, and from Sacred Heart Medical Center by calling 622-2100.
