The Brooks & Dunn concert is the first big country concert (and really the first big musical event) in the Arena.
Country singer John Michael Montgomery was scheduled to open the Arena on Sept. 16. He canceled the concert due to health problems. The concert is rescheduled for Feb. 16. The Boyz II Men concert Sept. 25 at the Arena drew only about 6,000 fans. The All-4-One concert Oct. 11 was moved from the Arena to the Opera House due to low ticket sales.
Following are a few tips on the Arena:
The event ticket windows and only entrance to the Arena are on the northeast corner. Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the concert even if you have a ticket since there’s usually a lineup at the entrance.
The parking fee in the Arena lots is $3.
There are food courts on the north and the south sides of the Arena with nearly identical offerings (the major exceptions are pizza which is available in the south food court, and Mexican food, available in the north food court).
In addition to men’s and women’s restrooms, the Arena has family restrooms which are specifically for parents with children of the opposite sex, and those attending to babies.
The Arena is a non-smoking building, but there are secured designated areas outside the building for smokers.
A cash machine is located along the wall just to your right as you enter the Arena.
sponsored You’ve probably heard of co-ops: food co-ops, childcare co-ops, housing co-ops, energy co-ops.
