Steve Yzerman, who missed a penalty shot in the first period, scored on his own rebound 1:50 into overtime as the Detroit Red Wings overcame a three-goal deficit for a 6-5 win Thursday night over the Boston Bruins at Boston.

The Bruins led 5-2 midway through the second period, but Detroit tied the game as it took the last 14 shots of the period and scored on three of them.
