Woman Reports Rape At Party

An 18-year-old North Idaho College student Thursday reported she had been raped at a party in late September.

The student told police that during a party at her house on Sept. 23, between 1 and 3 a.m., she walked upstairs to her bedroom to talk on the phone. A friend of a friend followed her and began kissing her.

The man, another 18-year-old from Coeur d’Alene, allegedly yanked her clothes off, but the student told him to stop and went and hid in a closet. The man later came back and attacked her again, the woman told police.

Police are still investigating the incident and no arrests have been made, said Coeur d’Alene Police Lt. John Bassett.
