NEW FACES:

Keith Wolter has been named a personal financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors Inc. Wolter graduated from Trinity Lutheran Seminary and for 10 years served rural and suburban parishes in Montana. He recently completed a master’s degree in organizational leadership at Gonzaga University.

Kathleen Kozlowski has joined Spokane Teachers Credit Union as the public relations/ marketing coordinator. Kozlowski previously worked for the Spokane Economic Development Council as Business To Business EXPO manager.

The Coeur d’Alene Credit Bureau and its affiliates have hired Christopher Morris as a marketing representative. Morris is a University of Idaho graduate and previously worked as a customer relations representative for Pioneer Title Co. in Nampa, Idaho.

Bart Pugh, a graduate of Eastern Washington University, joins Crop Grower’s Insurance Inc. as a compliance audit controller. Pugh will be responsible for auditing regional offices to ensure compliance guidelines are being met. He previously worked in the financial division of the Walt Disney World Corp. and the financial aid department at EWU.

Bonnie Moehnert has joined TSI Printing as an account representative. She will handle public relations and sales. Prior to joining TSI, Moehnert spent 15 years in the banking industry.

Dr. Todd Rogers has recently opened a general dentistry practice in Spokane. Rogers graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He practiced for three years at Valley Farmworker’s Clinic in Grandview, Wash., and was in private practice as an associate in Richland for 1 years.

Dr. Robert Sims, a triple board certified physician in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, has joined Kootenai Medical Center and the North Idaho Cancer Center in Couer d’Alene. Sims, a graduate of the Oregon Health Sciences University, received additional training at New York University Medical Center, Temple University Medical Center and the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He spent the last six years in a multispecialty physician’s group in Renton, Wash.

William Pryor has been appointed to the Pentzer Corp. board of directors. Pryor is president of Cleveland-based Van Dorn Demag Corp., a leading producer of plastic injection molding equipment, and previously served as president and CEO of the Van Dorn Co.

Holy Family Foundation has named Joseph O’Shaughnessy executive vice-president. O’Shaughnessy has 18 years of experience in fundraising and also worked as a consultant on the foundation’s “Partners in Caring” campaign.

The Girl Scouts Inland Empire Council has added the following two employees to its roster:

Melodie Shreeve has been hired as a membership specialist. Shreeve will be responsible for memberships in northeast and west Spokane, Nine Mile Falls, Cheney, Medical Lake, Airway Heights and Fairchild.

Marcy Mastel joins the organization as program coordinator and resident camp director for Camp Four Echoes.

MOVING UP:

Mario Russo has been promoted to manager of Westco Martinizing’s Couer d’Alene Dry Cleaning store. Russo previously owned and operated Northridge Cleaners in Northridge, Calif.

Bank of America Idaho has made the following appointments:

Nelson Gourley, previously vice president and manager of the Appleway branch, has been named relationship officer for the bank’s North Idaho Commercial Banking Division in Coeur d’Alene.

Ronda Maxon, formerly manager of the Hayden Lake branch, has been named manager of the Appleway branch in Coeur d’Alene.

Sheri Pearson was appointed assistant vice president of the Hayden Lake branch. Pearson previously served as a home loan specialist in the Coeur d’Alene Real Estate Center.

The Girl Scouts Inland Empire Council has promoted the following three employees:

Jerrie Allard, who works in the membership department, has been promoted to director of membership.

Vicky Gould, a 14-year council employee in the program department, has been named membership director.

Donna Rhoda, a seven-year council veteran, has been named director of property and adult development.

STARTING UP:

Paragon Technologies Inc., an information systems consulting firm, has opened at 807 W. 25th Ave. The company is headed by Clayton Looney, who previously worked for Andersen Consulting in Seattle and Platinum Software Corp. in Irvine, Calif.

Laree Shanda has opened CONSTELLATE at 1314 S. Grand Blvd. The company specializes in recreation therapy and aquatic therapy consulting and conference planning.

Qpoint Home Mortgage Loans has opened a Spokane franchise office in the Riverpoint One building. Qpoint, which has two other offices in Washington, offers complete home mortgage services. David and Cheri Ritter are owners of the Spokane franchise.

KUDOS:

RAHCO International was named Exporter of the Year at the Inland Northwest World Trade Council’s annual banquet. Peter Kerwien, business strategist for Washington Water Power Co., was honored for his individual contribution to international trade, and Ernst Gohlert of Eastern Washington University’s International Affairs Program was named Educator of the Year.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Spokane has been honored for having the Most Creative Advertisement by the National Foundation for Consumer Credit. The non-profit credit counseling agency was designated a Presidential Citation Winner, a finalist in the national awards competition.

Anderson Mraz Design Inc., has received the 1995 American Graphic Design Award sponsored by Graphic Design: USA. The award was for a stationary package created for Tennis College in Germany.

Shopko presented the Special Olympics-Inland Northwest with a check for $8,175. The donation came from ShopKo’s 1995 Charity Golf Outing held earlier this year in Wisconsin.

ELECTED:

Lois Wechsler has been elected president of the Idaho Hospitality and Travel Association. Wechsler is a certified hotel administrator and the general manager of Best Western Templin’s Resort Hotel and Conference Center Inc.

The Spokane Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction has elected the following officers:

Charlotte Whiteford, president; Marcia Schultz, vice-president; Joyce Hayes, secretary; Donna Miedling, treasurer; and Lori Barrick, Cindy Carroll, Janet Darrah, Karen Holden, Pat Jeffries, and Chris Wigginton, directors.
