Kings Win; Beat Pacers On The Road

The Sacramento Kings set a franchise record with five season-opening victories and snapped a nine-game losing streak at Market Square Arena on Friday night with a 119-95 victory over the host Indiana Pacers.

Replacement referees Anthony Jordan and Mike Lauerman called 70 personal fouls, and the two teams combined to shoot 99 free throws.

Sacramento’s Michael Smith and Indiana’s Dale Davis were ejected with 2:43 remaining in the third period when the two exchanged punches following a foul by Eddie Johnson on the Kings’ Bobby Hurley.
