Veterans’ Events

Two events in the Lake City are scheduled today to honor veterans.

A Veterans Day Dance will begin at 8 p.m. at The Coeur d’Alene Resort featuring two local bands.

The Ray Stone Orchestra will perform music from the ‘40s and ‘50s and The Rhythm Dawgs will play music from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Admission is $20, and the proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels and senior transportation provided by the Area Agency on Aging.

Down the street, in North Idaho College’s Boswell Auditorium, the North Idaho College Jazz Ensemble and the vocal group Jazz Co. will offer “A Veterans Salute.”

The music starts at 7:30 p.m. and features jazz from the swing era.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and $1 for students. , DataTimes
