Man Robs South Side Pizza Restaurant

A man with a handgun robbed a south Spokane restaurant late Friday night.

Witnesses told police the man walked into the Pizza Hut at 2525 E. 29th about 9 p.m. He walked to the cash register, raised his sweat shirt to show a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him money.

The man took the money and ran from the restaurant and across 29th.

None of the customers or other employees knew the restaurant was being robbed until the man fled. No one was hurt.

The man was in his 20s, about 6-feet tall and thin. He was wearing a blue, hooded sweat shirt with yellow trim.
