Boat Sinks, Killing At Least One

From Staff And Wire Reports

One man died and another is missing after a fishing boat sank in Boundary Bay just south of the Canadian border, the Coast Guard said Sunday.

Petty Officer Brenda Toledo said Coast Guard searchers recovered the body of Daren Paul, 26, of Blaine, Wash., about 3 miles southeast of Point Roberts. Paul’s body, found shortly before noon Sunday, was entangled in a line attached to a life ring, she said.

Still missing is Greg Zalmer, 17, also of Blaine, who was reported aboard the Shelby Lynn, a 30-foot wooden-hulled fishing boat, Toledo said.
