A drifter wanted for questioning in the deaths of four women and a man in several states may be linked to three other killings in California, authorities said.
Police want to compare DNA evidence from one of the three victims, Cynthia Burger, to DNA samples from Glen Rogers. The Hamilton, Ohio, man has not been seen since last Thursday.
“We were struck by similarities in the cases,” Sgt. Jerry Beck said.
Authorities say four women Rogers has met since September have died violently. Three were stabbed. One was strangled and put in a pickup that was set on fire. Three had red hair.
Burger was strangled, sexually assaulted and placed in a bathtub, Beck said. Then her house was set on fire.
