Ginger With Snap

One would expect candy to be sweet, but spicy comes as something of a surprise.

That’s the curious combination in Asian ginger candy, a chewy concoction that begins mild in your mouth and finishes fiery. “Makes you sweat, makes you smile,” wrote the anonymous reader who recommended it.

If it doesn’t make you smile at all, save it for those nasty neighbor kids next Halloween.
