Cda Police Will Care About Intersection

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Coeur d’Alene Police department’s CARE team will be carefully watching traffic along Government Way and Lincoln Way Thursday.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday they will be conducting a special traffic enforcement effort, said Officer Mike Calderwood.

The CARE team, made up of four officers, focuses on reducing accidents in the city of Coeur d’Alene.

On Thursday, all four officers will spend the day patrolling Lincoln Way from Interstate 90 to Walnut Avenue and Government Way from I-90 to Miller Avenue.

“Both of these are high accident locations in the city,” Calderwood said. “We just ask the drivers to use extra caution when driving in this area.”

CARE officers will be looking for speed violations, improper lane changes and other driving violations.
