Free Dinners Offered On Holiday

Two North Side organizations have announced plans for free Thanksgiving Day dinners.

The Meeting Place, 4811 N. Market, will offer a free dinner with all the trimmings from 3 to 6 p.m. No reservations are required.

St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will continue its tradition of free dinners, started in 1970. The church expects more than 600 people.

The dinner will be at the St. Patrick’s School hall, Queen and Lacey, from noon to 3 p.m. A bus will make several stops around the city for those who need transportation.

One bus will leave from the MidCity Senior Center, 1017 W. First, at 12:15 p.m.

Another bus will pick up people at these places and times:

Omega House, 1918 W. Chelan, 11:25 p.m.

St. Andrew’s Court, 1815 N. Post, 11:35 p.m.

Our Place, 1018 N. Elm, 11:40 p.m.

Fahey Apartments, 1523 and 1411 W. Dean, 11:45 p.m.

Park Tower, 217 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., 11:50

Delaney, 242 W. Riveside, noon.

Cathedral Plaza, 1120 W. Sprague, 12:05

O’Malley Apartments, 707 E. Mission, 12:15

Car pickup is also available on the North Side by calling, 487-1325.

The return bus will leave St. Patrick’s between 1 and 1:30.
