Teens Attack Man In Northtown Lot

A group of teenagers attacked a man in a NorthTown Mall parking lot Wednesday after he looked at their car, Spokane police said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was treated at Holy Family for a stab wound to his back.

Police said five teenagers in a red Honda Prelude drove by the victim about 4 p.m. The victim told police the youths asked him what he was looking at, and he said, “Your car.”

A few minutes later the teenagers returned, leaped out of the car and attacked the victim, who is in his late 20’s.

One of the assailants pulled out an ice pick and stabbed the victim, police said. During the scuffle, one of the youths also was stabbed through the wrist.

Police went to Holy Family to interview the victim and found the wounded attacker getting treatment for his wrist. He told nurses he fell on a board with nails in it, police said.

The teenagers were booked into jail on assault charges. Their names and ages were not immediately available Wednesday.
