Tacoma Girl, 15, Raped At School

A female student heading to an early-morning class was raped on the grounds of Henry Foss High School, police said.

Police believe the rapist targeted the 15-year-old girl.

She told police she had seen the man Tuesday at about 6:15 a.m. and he asked her whether she had seen his friend.

Then Wednesday, about the same time, she was attacked as she walked along a lighted, asphalt path from Heidelberg Field toward portable classrooms, Tacoma Police Lt. Gary Weigand said.

Police described the rapist as a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 19 to 22 years old. He was wearing a black waist-length coat and black pants, police said.
