Foschi Sets N.Y. Prep Record

Jessica Foschi, placed on two years’ probation for steroid use after a positive test result, won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle finals in the New York state public high school championships.

The 15-year-old set a state record of 1:51.16 in the 200 but her 4:47.48 in the 500 fell .51 short of her state record.

Foschi was placed on a two-year probation by a three-member panel from the U.S. Swimming Board of Review when she tested positive for steroid use at a swim meet in Pasadena, Calif., in August.
