Madison Tops Lewiston In Title Game

Ben Holloway ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as Madison won its second straight A-1 Division II Idaho state football championship, 41-28 over Lewiston in Holt Arena at Pocatello.

Lewiston (9-3) scored first but Madison (11-1) answered with five straight scores to capture the title.

Holloway also completed a pass for 54 yards and caught a TD pass, and intercepted a pass on defense.

Lewiston’s Jeremy Frei threw three TD passes to Jim Farris.

Madison rallied on Ben Franz’s TD run, a 37-yard pass from Donovan Ard to Holloway and a 55-yard TD run by Holloway.

In the A-2 state championship game, top-ranked Snake River (12-0) defeated third-ranked Weiser (9-3) 13-0.
