More than 6 million shooters reload their own ammunition, according to a National Shooting Sports Foundation survey:

More than one-third of hunters reload.

Shooters can save about 50 percent of the cost of their ammunition by reloading used cartridge cases.

Many reloaders customize for a specific purpose, such as a cartridge with a lighter or heavier bullet or a bigger powder load.
