Air Pollution Reports

A total of 13 air quality complaints were reported to the Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority between Nov. 13 and Nov. 19.

The most common complaint, open fire, was reported four times.

Nov. 13

Smoke in the air was reported at 1400 - 1500 E. Woodcliff and Rockwood at 10:15 a.m.

Smoke from stack was reported at Riplinger’s, 4400 N. Division, at 2:20 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device, such as a wood stove or fireplace was reported at 4703 N. Washington at 4:14 p.m.

Open fire was reported at Boeing Strikers, Highway 2 and Flint Road at 12:30 p.m.

Nov. 14

Open fire was reported at Lincoln Road and Altamont at 1:30 p.m.

Nov. 15

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 7903 N. Regal at 12:57 p.m.

Open fire was reported at Boeing strikers, Highway 2 and Flint Road at 8:17 a.m.

Nov. 17

Painting without a booth was reported at 112 N. Crestline at 11:05 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 12112 E. Empire at 3:55 p.m.

Dust from sandblasting was reported at 22nd and Conklin, off Sullivan Road at 10:48 a.m.

Nov. 18

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 2509 W. Boone at 10:20 a.m.

Odor of compost was reported at Colbert Compost Facility at 7 p.m.

Nov. 19

Smoke from stack was reported at waste-to-energy plant at 8 a.m.
