Quotable

“We can beat Michigan. Michigan is nobody. I guarantee we’re going to the Rose Bowl.”

- Ohio State’s Terry Glenn, heading into Saturday’s game

“If he is going to disrespect me and tell me I’m not something I believe I am, I’m going to go out and try to prove him wrong.”

- Michigan running back Tim Biakabatuka, waiting until after the game to publicly address Glenn’s comments

“Right now, my life goes on, I graduate, I go on. I gave it my best. If they want to give (the Heisman Trophy) to Tommie Frazier, I guess he deserves it. If they give it to me, I guess I deserve it. That’s how it goes.”

- Ohio State running back Eddie George

“He killed me. He killed me and my boy in the same year.”

- Florida State coach Bobby Bowden, on Florida’s Steve Spurrier, who won games vs. Bobby and Terry Bowden.

“We made a vow about six weeks ago to each other that we wanted to play in a game that had national implications with everyone watching, to get some of the respect back that we lost in the first month of the season.”

- Miami coach Butch Davis, after beating Syracuse

“Financially, I can’t hardly afford to go be an assistant coach. It’s just not worth it to me. I can sit here and do nothing and make more money. … Brad Scott is not going to hire me as an assistant coach. I’ve got a lot of friends up there and if he started losing, people would say ‘Well, they ought to fire him and hire Ray.”’

- Fired Georgia coach Ray Goff, regarding reports he was offered an assistant’s job at South Carolina
