Susie Holt Nespelem, Wash.

Rosary for Susie Ford Holt, 89, was Sunday at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah. Service is set for 10 a.m. at the Spokane Tribal Longhouse in Wellpinit. Burial will follow at Hubert Cemetery in Ford.

Mrs. Holt, who was born in Tum Tum, died Wednesday. She was a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and the Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Happy Ford of Wellpinit, Wash. and Don Ford of Lincoln, Neb.; two daughters, Nadine Raven of Tacoma and Genevieve Stearns of Ford, Wash.; 27 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Dennis Purcell Valley, Wash.

Memorial service for Dennis H. Purcell, 31, is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Schazenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Purcell, who died Tuesday, was born in Spokane.

He had lived in Valley for 17 years. He worked for Valley Mill, Hansen Logging, and for the past year, had his own business, Valley Quality Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Purcell; his mother, Gail Purcell of Chewelah; a son, Shane Purcell of Spokane; a daughter, Tecia Purcell of Spokane; grandparents, Howard and Lucille Boyer of Colbert and Helen Purcell of Spokane; five brothers, Rodney, Tony, and Danny Straight, all of Spokane, Mick Purcell of Chattaroy, and Bill Purcell of Moses Lake; and two sisters, Shelley Walton and Sandy Thomas of Chewelah.

Reverend Raymond Talbott, S.J. Spokane

Vigil service for Rev. Raymond Talbott, 86, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Jesuit House Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Spokane, Father Talbott died Wednesday.

He attended St. Aloysius and St. Francis Xavier schools, and graduated from Gonzaga Prep.

He entered the Novitiate in Los Gatos, Calif., and was ordained in 1940.

He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces as a chaplain.

Following the war, he pastored several churches in Alaska and Washington state, before returning to Spokane.

He is survived by one brother, Gerald Talbott of Seattle.
