Man Shot In Struggle At Door

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Spokane man was shot Monday night after a brief back-door struggle with a stranger, police said.

A second man shot John Sanders, 34, in the knee at his 17 S. Ralph home, according to police.

Police were looking for two Hispanic males after the 10:45 p.m. shooting. Officers at the scene didn’t know why Sanders was attacked.

Sanders told police he opened his back door after a stranger kept pounding on it. After a brief struggle, he was shot. His wound was minor.
