Wildcats Move Up In Polls

The Arizona Wildcats jumped up 15 spots to No. 4 in The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll.

Kentucky retained its hold on the first spot, followed by Kansas and Villanova.

Washington State received 43 points, which would rank the Cougars 30th. They were 28th in last week’s poll.

Seldom-used guard Jared Mercer has quit the Idaho men’s basketball team. Mercer, a sophomore from Kamiah, Idaho, told UI coaches he wasn’t satisfied with his limited playing time.
