Meg Ryan Gets A Raise In Pay

The Hollywood Reporter

Following the well-worn pattern of skyrocketing A-list stars’ salaries, Meg Ryan is in advanced negotiations to receive close to $9 million and about 10 percent of first-dollar gross to star in Fine Line Features’ “Easy Women.” That’s $3 million more than Ryan’s rate for her last two movies, “Courage Under Fire” and “French Kiss.”

Sources said the Fine Line picture would be budgeted at $23 million - small, by studio standards, but a major leap forward for the independent film company.

The dramatic comedy is the story of a woman whose life is irretrievably changed when she is reunited with her long-lost daughter, thanks to the intervention of a con artist.
