Mr. And Mrs. Simpson Edwall, Wash.

Robert W. and Alvina M. Simpson, Edwall, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shilo Inn.

Hosts for the event will be their children and spouses: Bob and Judy Simpson, and Tracy and Chris Ward, all of Spokane; Steve Simpson and Cathie Corning, Edmonds, Wash.; Colleen and Mike Schmidt, Medical Lake; and Mary and Stewart Moonen, Cathlamet, Wash.

Married Oct. 7, 1945, in Spokane, the Simpsons have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
