Algerian Militants Kill 18 In Bus Attack
Islamic militants killed 18 people Sunday and injured 15 others in an attack on a bus south of Algiers, Algerian security forces said.
Police killed four members of the group as they made their retreat, said a statement released by police.
Among the dead were three children and most of those injured are children, it added.
The statement blamed the attack on a “terrorist group,” language used to refer to Islamic militants waging an insurgency. It gave no details on how the attack near Laghouat, 200 miles south of Algiers, was carried out.
