Bulls Interested In Rodman For Perdue, Another Player

The Chicago Bulls are discussing a trade with San Antonio that could land them troubled and talented rebounder Dennis Rodman, according to a published report.

Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said Sunday there was some truth to the report in Sunday’s Chicago Sun-Times and there had been some discussions. But he said the trade would be up to Bulls general manager Jerry Krause.

“I have no idea whether Jerry (Krause) is going to make the trade or not make the trade,” Reinsdorf said Sunday.

The trade would involve Rodman for Bulls center Will Perdue and perhaps another Chicago player, the Sun-Times reported.

Rodman, in the final year of a contract that would pay him $2.5 million this season, has won four straight rebounding titles but is as well known for his brilliant hair color, tatoos, on-court antics and off-court outrageousness.

Reinsdorf said he assumed Krause and Jackson had discussed the move with Michael Jordan.

“Jerry and Phil always talk to Michael and some other players when they think they are going to make some personnel moves,” he said.
