City Wants Help Naming Two Parks

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Lake City needs a few good names.

The city wants moniker suggestions for an 11-acre park being developed at Coeur d’Alene Place, near Ramsey Road and Dalton Avenue. It also wants suggestions for the six-acre park at the Canfield Park subdivision along Shadduck Lane.

Entries in the Name That Park Contest are due by Dec. 15.

Each winner will receive dinner for two at The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s Dockside restaurant, two tickets to a North Idaho College play and a volleyball from the Sports Cellar.

The Parks and Recreation Commission will select the finalists and forward their recommendations to the City Council. The council makes the final call Feb. 6.

If more than one person submits the same winning name, the winning person will be determined by drawing.
