Education Officials Will Hit The Road

From Staff Reports

The state Department of Education will travel the state this month to gather opinions on education from the public.

State schools Superintendent Anne Fox and her staff will be in Post Falls on Oct. 18 to gather input on the future of education in Idaho.

The testimony will be used to develop a school improvement plan and a plan for using technology.

“We wish to give the patrons of the state greater say in what happens with their children’s education,” Fox said in a press release.

The afternoon meeting will be split among three rooms for separate discussions on state goals for education, a technology plan and curriculum development.

The meeting is scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. in Templin’s Resort, 414 E. First. The meeting in Post Falls will be followed by one in Lewiston on Oct. 19. , DataTimes
