‘Will Rogers’ To Play In Pullman

The touring production of “The Will Rogers Follies,” a glitzy and glib Broadway musical, arrives at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman on Wednesday.

This Cy Coleman musical cleverly merges the rural, aw-shucks appeal of Will Rogers with the naughtier appeal of the Ziegfeld Follies. This musical was a smash on Broadway, and a winner of six Tony Awards.

Rogers was a star of the Ziegfeld Follies in the 1920s, as well as America’s best-loved comedian, political satirist, rope-trick artist, radio personality and newspaper columnist.

“The Will Rogers Follies” runs one performance only, 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Beasley. Tickets are $25 for the first seven rows, $20 and $16 for adults for the remainder of the seats; $16 and $10 for students; and $12 and $8 for children under 12.

This show is presented locally by Festival Dance and Performing Arts, assisted by business sponsors Presnell Gage CPAs and First Interstate Bank.

Tickets are on sale at the Beasley Coliseum, The Depot in Pullman, the UI Ticket Express in Moscow, Albertsons in Lewiston and all G&B Select-a-Seat outlets, 325-SEAT and (800) 325-SEAT.
